Glass Mosaic
Flight of Dreams is a mosaic inspired by my favorite work of my mom's, Mosaic of Migration, which itself was based on Charley Harper's Wings of the World. In creating Flight of Dreams, I incorporated new techniques, including computer-aided drawing and CNC cutting, to efficiently and accurately craft a mosaic where each glass piece fits together perfectly. I also utilized sandblasting and fusing techniques to add texture and depth to the birds' wings, bringing an additional layer of intricacy to the artwork. This piece not only reflects my technical skills but also pays homage to the artistic legacy within my family.
