Mari Vandewettering

Mari Vandewettering is a talented mosaic artist based in Portland, Oregon, known for her meticulous craftsmanship and innovative use of diverse glass textures and fusing techniques. Drawing inspiration from mid-century style illustrations and nostalgic art, Mari's work captures the essence of places and moments with a timeless yet contemporary flair. Over the past three decades, she has honed her skills in the evenings after her day job, combining traditional mosaic methods with modern designs. Her mosaics feature materials such as fused glass, frit, and dichroic glass, adding depth and luminosity. Now she is retired and able to take more time to create and share her work. She hopes to inspire others and showcase the beauty of her gleaming artworks.
